I recently renewed my World Anvil membership to the master tier, and did so successfully (the guild membership dropdown in my account properly reflects that I am, in fact, a Master Tier subscriber). However, when I attempt to create a new session report, for example, I am receiving the following error message:    "Upgrade Now! Hey there! Unlimited Drafts requires a Master subscription. You can upgrade now and you will only pay the prorated cost of the subscription! If you have joined the Guild within the last 15 days, and you have used a coupon code, message us and we will upgrade you WITH the offer!"   I did use the SUMMERCAMP promo code when renewing, but this should not impact the performance of the site, correct?   I also tried creating an NPC entry, and received the same issue.

Steps to Reproduce

-Click on the "create" button in the bottom right. -Scroll down to the bottom and select session report. -Enter at least 3 characters for the session title. -Click in the body of the session write-up and begin typing. -The error message will now appear.

To clarify - yes, I have tried deleting my browser history and clearing the cache. Yes, I have tried logging out and logging back in.  Yes, I have tried using a different browser, such as Chrome.   I am still unable to properly access the features I am paying for.

Hey there!

From my end the account looks to be in a good shape!

It sounds like you might be having either an issue with your cache or a Anti-Tracking / Anti-Spam / Anti-Virus

If this is a cache issue this is what might help fix it.

1. Logout from World Anvil

2. Clear you browser's cache

3. Hard Refresh your page

4. Log back in

If the issue does persist this might be an issue with  an  Anti-Tracking / Anti-Spam / Anti-Virus  software blocking parts of world anvil

we will need to check if the issue is with the local machine

- Try disabling all software like Norton etc.

- Try using the same browser in Incognito mode (normally disabled any plugins and extensions)

- Try using a different browser

if it continues

- Use a mobile phone on a 4G/5G network so see if you can access the website with al your features activated

If you still need help please let me know

Hello Dmitris,   Thank you for the reply, I appreciate your time.   I will tell you that my issue occurs when I use my work PC. That being said - I have used this PC for years with no issue, and have created countless articles here. I can still access the World Anvil site un-restricted and fully. But I still encounter the same error message when I attempt to create a new article of any kind. It is very frustrating, to say the least. And the first iteration of this error message only occurred once I renewed my subscription.   As of now, I am still experiencing this error when I attempt to create articles.    Logging out/clearing the cache/hard refreshing the page/logging back in, did not work.   Using a different browser did not work. I tried using Google Chrome.   As I said - I utilize my work terminal, so I do not have the ability to manipulate the antivirus settings - however - for years on end, I have created content from this terminal with zero issue. The only change my company made was upgrading to Windows 11.   I CAN access the site properly on my phone - but - I am not permitted to have my phone at work. Therefore, this does not solve my problem and is not a viable troubleshooting solution.   Can you please advise further? Thank you very kindly.

Adding some detail that may be related to this.

I've had the same message whenever using the default visual editor, regardless of being a new article or editing an existing one.

Using the "Old Version Edit" does not prompt the same message.

Have tried log out, clear cache, hard re-fresh, across multiple browsers (chrome [including incognito], firefox, safari), on multiple computers. Have also tried using different browsers on a mobile phone, using wifi and 5G connections. Issue persists regardless.

Programs and operating systems on all are the most recent versions.

Note, I am a free member co-authoring on a paid member's world. The paid member is not currently receiving these messages.

Had this issue come up today when changing privacy settings on an article.

The problem occurs for me when I try using the share feature. I have followed all the above recommendations.

I upgraded to the lifetime Sage level a few days ago. My CC confirmed payment.

I'm investigating this issue. From what I can see, this is simply a false positive. In my testing, all account features are still working, despite the message appearing incorrectly. I understand the concern, but I've check the permissions for nearly everyone's account here and noted that they're all correct. This appears to only be a graphical bug, as even some affected users have confirmed that they do not experience this issue when using the Old Edit interface.

While I continue to investigate, you can either close the popup and continue working, knowing that you are indeed able to perform the actions you have access to despite the message, or you can temporarily switch to edit articles in the Old Interface (for writing/filling the prompts) if the message is too distracting.

I have several leads to investigate, and I may work with the developers of the newer Athena interface to help identify and resolve the root cause. I just wanted to reassure everyone that, aside from the erroneous popup, your accounts are set correctly and the access to features is working.

Side Note: If you get a failure to save, simply to to a different location within the text field and change something (add and then remove a space or a period to re-trigger autosave). If you have Autosave disabled, simply click the Save Article button on the floating toolbar a couple of times (2-3 should be more than sufficient). Please feel free to reply here if you notice that, despite this, the article is not saving for some reason.

Hey, we've released some fixes that should resolve the upgrade modal from popping up incorrectly - please let us know if you still encounter it.
