(the chapter opens with machi and tenebris sitting in machi's cabin)
Machi: so tell me more about this offer?
Tenebris: I'm purposing a mutually beneficial deal.
Machi: Like I haven't heard that one before.
Tenebris: hear me out, you said you like somewhere quiet, I can help you get away from all this attention. from the legions and pirates from all of it. There's an Island past the Elvinian Archipelago, you will never have to deal with any of that ever there.
Machi: sounds greats...so what do you want from me?
Tenebris: Somethings coming, something big, something dangerous. I'm not exactly sure what, but I believe you are part of it.
Machi: something big huh? kinda sounds like your trying to start a revolution or somthin.
Tenebris: no...no I wish I could tell you what but I cant, because I don't know. I was given a prophecy...
Machi: A prophecy? Am I some kind of chosen one or something?
Tenebris: No...Yes...I don't know. This probably sounds insane.
Machi: ya think?
Tenebris: but I know one thing for sure, this is bigger than me, it's bigger than you, then the legions or whoever. (takes a moment) no puzzle is complete without every last piece. The only question is where you fit?
Machi: (takes a moment of silence)
(cut back to arthor walking back to the inn)
Arthor: we finally have a lead, Don't worry karri were coming for you (looking down at his yang bracelet he runs into someone and falls down)
Orion: Aye watch where your going kid. (sticks out his hand to help Arthor up)
Arthor: (looks up in terror)
Orion: We'll you just going to sit there on the ground?
Arthor: (grabs his hand and Orion helps him)
Orion: hey, wait a minute, no that I get a closer look at ya, you look familiar? do I know you?
Arthor: I..I...
Cepheus: Orion stop messing around with the children! we have a job to do.
Orion: (looks back) Aye, I cant help it he ran into me.
Arthor: (still running past people in the crowded town square) (thinking) That was close, if I didn't have my mask up he might have recognized me. But why are they here!? did they follow us? where the Hell is tenebris!?
(cut to machi's cabin at sundown)
Machi: You know, out of all the offers I've heard, that's got to be the craziest one yet.
Tenebris: Trust me, I think its crazy too. I still have no idea what I'm doing but something deep down tells me I am supposed to do this.
Machi: If I go with you, you have to promise one thing.
Tenebris: name it.
Machi: you have to promise me, This village will be safe. A lot of the village might not like me, but I cant just leave them here defenseless.
Tenebris: I promise you, I will do everything in my power to make sure this village will be safe.
Machi: then it's settled. you got yourself a deal.
(they both stand up and tenebris starts walking to the door)
Tenebris: I'll be at the inn in town, when your ready, that's where you can find us.
Machi: you got it. (tenebris leaves) (a little bit later tenebris is walking through the forest at night almost to town)
Tenebris: I cant believe there's still decedents of the giants that survived, if he's survived then maybe...no, I know there's no way they would let that happen. not after everything "they" did. "Hough" I wonder what Arthors up to? (his eyes light up blue and he senses something as he gets closer to the village) wait...why are they here...Arthor! (his eyes light up light blue and light blue energy sparks under his feet as he disappears and reappears in town franticly looking around and the streets are empty)
Tenebris: where are they? I know I sensed their energy here. (he runs to the inn and goes through the door to see arthor in the lobby)
Arthor: Tenebris!
Tenebris: Arthor, are you alright.
Arthor: (talks really fast) tenebris, we got to get out of here. the two Kongur from before I saw them again and followed them to one of the shopkeepers who said that karri and I had a bounty on our heads from the Kongur and that karri had been captured and taken to Egran, and that they were looking for the giant, then I literally ran into the dead star pirates but I had my mask on so I don't think they recognized me but there here too and...
Tenebris: Slow down, what do you mean the Kongur are looking for the giant?
Arthor: (Takes a deep breath) The Kongur said that they had backup coming and that they are going to attack the giant tonight.
Tenebris: Machi.
Arthor: what?
Tenebris: the giants name is machi.
Arthor: you found him?
Tenebris: yes, he was far outside of town, I told him to meet me here, we have to warn him. before he gets to the village. (they run out of the door and tenebris gets clocked in the face and gets sent flying to the right)
Orion: I thought you looked familiar, didn't think we'd find both of ya here.
Arthor: Tenebris! (grabs his dagger and puts his mask up)
(hears a gun click)
Cepheus: I wouldn't do that if I were you. (pointing a gun at Arthor)
(Vela and Leo come out and stand around the two)
CHAPTER 46 CONVERGENCE
(the chapter opens with Tenebris standing up and his eye's glowing)
Cepheus: (holding a gun to Arthors head) Listen, I really wasn't in the mood to fight you, nor do I want what happened at barrok to happen again. so we're going to take this easy or the kid dies.
Tenebris: what do you want?
Cepheus: here's what's going to happen, your going take us to the ship you took to get here. then we're going to take this kid to cash in his bounty.
Tenebris: what makes you think he has a bounty on him?
Cepheus: he said so himself, just moments ago.
Tenebris: That's what this is about money?
Vela: We're not doing this for money.
Tenebris: then what are you doing it for?
Orion: we're pirates we do this because we can.
Leo: we doing this to get our captain back
Everyone: (stares at Leo angrily)
Tenebris: why do you even want to get him back, he doesn't care about you guys otherwise he wouldn't have used his terrain while you were in it.
Vela: He had to do it, to beat you and the legionaries you brought. he would never do that if he didn't think we could take it.
Tenebris: Really? cuse from what I saw, all he wanted was my power, he didn't care who was in the way. the legionaries...or you guys.
Leo: that's not true! he's always looked after his crew, what do you know, your not a pirate.
Tenebris: no, im not, but I'm also not opposed to second chances. if you let him go, I could maybe help you get Corvis back.
Cepheus: like we would ever trust you. all your doing is stalling. take us to your ship now! (puts the barrel on Arthor's head)
Tenebris: wait wait wait...ok...I'll take you there, just don't hurt him. (his eyes stop glowing)
Cepheus: good choice.
Tenebris: let me just say one more thing.
Cepheus: what?
Tenebris: you ever heard of the giant of Joer?
Cepheus: what?
Tenebris: (points with his head)
Cepheus: (looks behind him and gets punched in the face sending him flying and he drops his gun)
Machi: Tenebris what is going on here?
Tenebris: their the bad guys (his eye's light up light blue and his rings light up)
Cepheus: (grabbing his jaw) Son of a...get them!
Orion: with pleasure (his eyes light up yellow and he goes straight for machi)
Tenebris: (starts fighting with vela and Leo)
Cepheus: (Goes to grab his gun)
Tenebris: no you don't (disappears leaving his spirits to deal with vela and Leo and reappears over at Cepheus and goes to kick him in the face but he rolls grabs his gun and fires at tenebris who disappears and reappears in front of him and grabs his gun and tries to take it)
(cut to machi fighting Orion both landing massive punches on each other sending)
Orion: Finally I get to pick on someone my own size.
Machi: just what I was thinking. (they start grappling and Orion takes the edge with his belt and gloves glowing he sends machi through a nearby stand)
Orion: Come on now, Tenebris called you the giant of Joer, I thought you'd be stronger.
machi: (gets up his eyes glowing red) I'm just getting started. (runs out towards him, cut to vela and Leo fighting ,Skye, Marx, and Alex)
Vela: (attacks Skye and throws a punch at her but it goes through her) you think I didn't learn from our past fight! (vela's tattoos light up and her hand turns yellow and Skye's energy starts turning yellow as she backs away holding the area vela hit her) just like I thought. your made of orku, so physical attacks don't work, so I'll just fight orku with orku. Leo use your energy blasts!
Leo: You got it! (his eyes and tattoos light up yellow and he actually hits Marx back) Hell yeah! (gets clocked by Alex)
Vela: Idoit. (orku flowers start forming around the area. Skye rushes at vela as it cuts back to tenebris fighting Cepheus who pulls the trigger on the gun kicking his elbow back into tenebris who stumbles back and Cepheus eyes light up and he pulls the bullet back at tenebris who blocks it with his bandaged arm and the bullet ricochets into a shop. Arthor appears behind Cepheus with his eyes glowing red, and slashes at his head but he barely ducks and turns to shoot arthor when tenebris reappears and punches Cepheus sending him to the ground)
Tenebris: thanks. help machi, I'll deal with the other two.
Arthor: got it.
Tenebris: (looks at his bandaged arm and where the bullet ricocheted) these malmite infused bandages are tough.
Kongur 1: (looking down on the group fighting from on top of a building) this wasn't part of the plan, what are the dead stars doing here, and who are those people?
Kongur: 2: I don't know who the guy with white hair or the blue people are, but if their strong enough to take on the dead star captains then, they'll be hard to take down.
Kongur 1: our mission was to find the giant and bring him to Egran, what are we going to do now?
Kongur 2: no, this is good, at the end of the fight the giant and the other guy will have wasted their energy, and then we can strike, take the giant and the kid.
Kongur 1: should we let him know then?
Kongur 2: im sure he's thinking the same thing.
(the panel shows the hands of someone as they put a mask on)
CHAPTER 47 BAD TO WORSE
(the chapter opens with machi fighting with Orion. Machi throws a punch and Orion doges and grabs his arm and pulls him into a punch in the face but machi still stands with his eyes blazing and his aura lighting up brighter)
Orion: (thinking) what's with this guy? his energy has only increased since we started fighting but he didn't release any seals or anything.
(machi pulls his hand back and pulls in Orion as machi punches him in the stomach knocking the wind out of him and releasing his grip which machi uses to kick him away sending him back a little ways)
Orion: now that's more like it. (his eyes and belt and gloves start glowing bright yellow and they rush towards each other. The assassin looks over and sees tenebris engage with Vela and Leo and Machi and Orion fighting and sees arthor running over to help machi)
Ehud (assassin): (pulls out a list of targets with a few crossed out, but at the top of the list it says
Arthor - wanted alive - last known location Renna - priority Major
underneath a few crossed out names including karri's it says
"Giant of Joer" - wanted alive - last known location Joer - priority major
down at the bottom it says
Vela "Dead star pirates" - wanted alive - last known location barrok - priority medium
Orion "Dead star pirates" -wanted alive - last known location barrok - priority medium
Cepheus "dead star pirates" -wanted dead - last known location barrok - priority minor
Leo "Dead star pirates" -wanted dead - last known location barrok - priority minor
the assassin closes his notes)
Ehud: Didn't I get lucky. multiple targets all in one place. and all I have to do is clean up the scraps of their fight. I have information on everyone here, but him. (looks at tenebris) could be a complication. I'll take him out first and move on to the rest. (moves around the building)
Vela: (yellow Energy flowers cover the ground as Skye and Vela fight hand to hand they brake apart from each other and Skye falls to her knees) Anything that touches my flowers injects poison into them, since it's made of my orku I guess it can affect even you.
(Skye disappears)
Vela: Hehe, I won.
Tenebris: you sure?
(vela whips around and sees tenebris rushing at her as Skye's spirit goes back into his ring and he kicks her and sends her flying into a building knocking her out. )
Tenebris: (looks over and Alex and Marx are standing over an exhausted Leo nothing glowing)
Leo: this is so unfair, two on one, you could at least let me get couple good hits in. "augh" (falls over)
Tenebris: good job (their spirits come back to his rings) (his arm pulses) Agh! (stumbles back a bit)
Tenebris: (thinking) it's still sealed, this doesn't feel like before, it feels like its reacting to something. (he looks up and sees the assassin flying at him with a sword drawn. Tenebris jumps back)
Ehud: (stands up and looks at tenebris)
Tenebris: (thinking) he has no orku...is he what my arm was reacting to?
Ehud: (dashes towards him and throws kunai at Tenebris)
Tenebris: (catches each one and throws them back at Ehud who dodges and spins and kicks tenebris who blocks overhead but gets kicked in the stomach as he reals back Ehud tries to cut his head off but tenebris moves back and a couple hairs get cut off. Tenebris sends out his spirits who attack him three on one and he blocks their relentless attacks until his eyes turn black and he slices right through all of them causing them to dissipate as tenebris jumps back in to attack (his eyes glowing light blue, Ehud goes to block but tenebris hits him too fast and backs up. he looks up and tenebris vanished, as he does tenebris is behind him and goes to punch him, but he swings his sword around but Alex stops the hit and tenebris gets a massive hit on him sending him back on the ground)
Tenebris: (Thinking) is this one of the Kongur Arthor fought before? (he starts walking over)
Ehud: (sits up his eyes black. cracks from bones snaping back into place come from him as he stands up) your stronger than I thought.
Tenebris: (eyes light up again and he gets ready to fight)(cut over to machi and Arthor)
(Machi's getting bodied by Orion when arthor jumps from behind and goes to stab Orion in the back but his blade stops on his back like it was made of steel)
Orion: you think a normal dagger without energy behind it can cut me? (he grabs arthor and throws him at machi who catches him and puts him down)
Arthor: what the heck just happened?
Machi: he's using his orku to increase his bodies strength and durability, your not going to be able to do any real damage without using emotional energy.
Arthor: this orku stuff becomes more annoying every time I fight.
Machi: I just need one clean hit can you get me an opening.
Arthor: I can try but I cant use energy like you guys can.
Machi: just try and trip him up.
Arthor: got it (starts running in, while machi picks up a large piece of wood from the shop that he destroyed and throws it at Orion who shatters it as he runs at them. Arthor ducks and kicks Orion's knee causing him to stumble a bit)
Orion: agh, you little...(machi lands a massive uppercut right to Orion's face with a shockwave of red energy sending him up and onto his back knocked out.)
Machi: "heuh heuh heuh" good job kid. "Hough"
Arthor: (stands up, one of the Kongur jumps out behind him and goes to slash him with his dagger)
Machi: kid! (he grabs arthor and pulls him out of the way and gets stabbed in his side )
CHAPTER 48 COUGHT IN THE CROSSFIRE
(the chapter opens with tenebris dashing at Ehud as he goes to slash tenebris he dodges several times and and tries to kick him but he blocks it and grabs his foot but Ehud twists and kicks tenebris in the face, he shakes it off and and dodges Ehud's stab and catches his arm under his arm and Ehud away from his sword and grabs it to use against him. )
Ehud: (takes out a dagger and dashes towards tenebris who parries the attacks with his sword as he walks backwards. Ehud keeps following him back but stops as he looks down, Alex grabs his leg. Tenebris stabs at his shoulder but Ehud's eyes flash black again and Alex's spirit dissipates and jumps up and flips over tenebris while grabbing his arm and throwing him over his shoulder and away grabbing the sword back. Tenebris lands and looks back to machi who is holding is being stabbed by the Kongur)
Tenebris: Go help them! (his rings glow and the spirits form and start running after them)
Ehud: you should focus on your own fight! (jumps up and slices down and the cut to machi and arthor)
Machi: (the Kongur stabs machi's side as he swings to hit him but he jumps back. falls to one knee as his shirt is cut and you can see blood start to drip from the cut)
Kongur 1: Courageous one, lucky I didn't put much energy behind that.
Machi: "Agh"...
Arthor: are you alright?
Machi: yep, didn't cut too deep, ill be fine.
Kongur 1: Consider this pay back from the other night
Kongur 2: (drops down behind him with his dagger drawn)
Machi: (stands up, his eyes start glowing again)
Arthor: (gets ready to fight)
(Kongur eye's start glowing red)
Machi: come on then! (machi and arthor start running in and one of the Kongur run in and the other pulls out a gun and his eyes light up as it fires. machi tries to dodge out of the way but it's too fast but right before it hits him, Alex deflects the bullet) what are you?
Alex: (looks at him and the bullet falls to the ground)
Machi: doesn't matter, thanks. (he keeps running at the 2nd Kongur who fires some more but Alex deflects all the bullets and machi gets close and The Kongur jumps back but machi grabs his leg and pulls him back and slams him down causing him to drop his gun and sword. machi goes to stomp down on him but he moves out of the way and tries to grab his weapons again but Marx kicks them away)
Kongur 2: oh come on...(looks back and machi aura is blazing an his eyes glow red as he throws a massive punch slamming this guy into the ground and cracking the road around him completely knocking him out. he falls to one knee again and holds his side) (Arthor is dueling the other Kongur clashing daggers. arthor falls behind a bit as the Kongur's eyes light up eye he knocks Arthor's dagger back and kicks him in the stomach and punches him in the face)
Arthor: agh...GrrAAHH (his eyes blaze red and he swings furiously. )
Kongur 1: (thinking) where did this come from? (he tries to parry the attacks but he gets pushed back until arthor brakes his dagger) what the...? (Arthor slashes him acrost the chest sending blood all over the ground) AGHH! (falls down on his knees. cut over to tenebris who is still fighting Ehud. tenebris dodging his slashes until he catches the blade with his bandaged hand and snaps the blade in half from the side and throws the blade down)
Ehud: (stumbles back in disbelief then grabs another dagger and continues fighting.)
Cepheus: (comes to and looks up and sees tenebris fighting. ) Im not...going...to loose to you again...(he grabs his gun and aims at tenebris and his eyes light up and he fires and it. Tenebris sees that Cepheus fired and he jumps at Ehud and knocks him out of the way of the bullet. Tenebris eyes light up and he disappears and reappears next to Cepheus and brakes the gun.)
Tenebris: (grabs some rope from a nearby market and ties Cepheus up) stay out of this fight.
Ehud: I thought I told you to focus on your own fight! (he dashes in as tenebris looks behind him and grabs Ehud's arms as his daggers stop right before stabbing tenebris.)
Tenebris: I am, just had to get a few distractions out of the way. by the way, you should know this fights over.
Ehud: Really is that so? how come? (Arthor comes up behind him and stabs Ehud in the side with his dagger) AGHH!
Tenebris: ( kicks Ehud away into a building acrost from him) Good work.
Arthor: see I can take care of myself.
Tenebris: (eyes flash black) Agc...(falls a bit)
Arthor: (catches him) Are you okay?
Tenebris: (looks at his arm)...yeah...just a little drained. lets get everyone out of the square. I'll take care of the dead stars, help machi get somewhere he can get those wounds taken care of.
(villagers and shopkeepers come out of their houses and buildings close and fill the square)
Villager 3: who is that? they dont look like legionaries?
Villager 4: I saw that kid earlier today asking about the guy he's with.
kid: Is that the giant mama?
Tenebris: who is in charge here?
(A man walks forward) man: I am the leader of this village.
Tenebris: We have several injured who need medical attention, as well as somewhere we can detain these pirates.
Village leader: we don't have a jail or anything like that here but we can make something work.
(while the villagers crowd around tenebris, arthor and machi, Ehud wakes up and his eyes flash black and he takes the dagger out of his side with black blood running out of his side. it starts healing slowly. He walks over to the Kongur arthor slashed across the chest. )
Ehud: I will not fail this mission. (grabs his side and black blood gushes onto his hand and he puts it on the Kongur's wound acrost the chest. it absorbs into him and his eyes open black and his skin turns dark)
Tenebris: (arm starts pulsing and a wave a dark energy explodes from where the Kongur were)
Demon: (ROARS)
(All the villagers start running away.)
CHAPTER 49 THE DARK POWER
(The chapter opens as the villagers start running and the demon dashes very fast at them and tries to grab a person but tenebris appears and holds it back)
Tenebris: get out of here! (the villager gets up and starts running. the demon picks up tenebris and throws him through a building
Arthor: what is that thing!?
Machi: I have no idea, but it aint good (his eyes light up red, he grabs his side.)
Arthor: (goes to grab his dagger but realizes its not there. ) what where is it? (sees it on the ground near the blood of Ehud. He starts running to grab it and the demon notices and goes after him, right before it attacks machi's eyes start glowing and his fist glows red as he punches it in the face and it gets sent back quite a bit but its still standing) thanks! (slides and picks up his dagger)
Machi: (thinking) dang, I put all I had into that punch but it took it like it was nothing. it's like it absorbed the energy from that. (tenebris appears and kicks it in the back of the head, but it doesn't move and grabs tenebris leg and throws him into arthor sending them both back and arthor drops his dagger)
Machi: (thinking) Come on just a bit longer (he puts his hands on the ground and energy flows into him and covers his body in a red aura like he had before. demon looks at him and dashes towards him faster than he expect but stops)
(Tenebris spirits are holding its arms)
Tenebris: (looks back and tenebris hand is out with his eyes glowing light blue and his rings are glowing) hit him hard! (Machi punches it several times but it doesn't react and its energy pulses and tenebris spirits disappear)
Tenebris: (falls forward as his rings and eyes stop glowing) (thinking) that thing is unstoppable come on think of something.
Arthor: (Charges in and grabs his dagger and slides between the demons legs and slices his tendons to his heels and it falls to the ground as machi punches it back Arthor jumps out of the way of the falling demon who hits the ground in a spurt of black energy. it's heels heal and it jumps up as it does it sharpens its hands into spikes and tries to stab machi but tenebris grabs him and pulls him out of the way as it does, his spirits grab arthor from in the path of its strike too)
Machi: that thing is barely taking any damage and when it does it just heals. what are we supposed to do?
Tenebris: (thinks back to the times he got cut around his bandaged arm and how fast it regenerated and back to him absorbing orku with his arm) this thing is made of the same dark energy as my arm.
Machi: What? your arm looks like that!? (the demon roars and slams the ground causing black energy to seep through the cracks in the road and it pulls up the road as tenebris pulls machi back and arthor runs up to it and slices its back but it heals, then he slices his arm and it heals) giant spikes come out of its back arthor blocks one with his dagger and gets pushed back a bit)
Arthor: this thing wont die!
Tenebris: It absorbs energy to regenerate, if we strike it in the right place with your dagger it should stop this thing.
Arthor: what!? (gets sent by a swing of its arm into a shop)
Tenebris: can you still fight?
Machi: barely, but I can manage.
Tenebris: heres the plan, you and me (dodges a massive piece of road the demon throws at them) we're going to get that thing to stand still for a moment and Arthor's going to stab it in the heart or head. that should take it down. (dodges another chunk or road)
Machi: easy for you to say! (he punches through the piece of road) oh well (they start running it and start combo-ing it, trading punches back and forth throwing the demon off balance)
Tenebris: Arthor!
Arthor: (slowly gets up form the shop grabs his dagger) Agh...Im coming...(he starts running in with his dagger)
Tenebris: Get ready. now! (both of them uppercut the demon sending it back and they grab its arms and take him down as arthor cuts its head off and it's body goes limp as it hits the floor with black blood spilling out of it)
All three: (out of breath)
Arthor: Are we done now...
Tenebris: yeah...yeah... we're done. lets get you guys taken care of... (they start walking off and and villagers rush out to help them and help machi walk and leading arthor behind them. Tenebris looks around and Vela, Orion and Leo are gone as well as the other Kongur and Ehud) (the chapter ends as he looks at the demons body and the black energy leaving it, then looks at his own hand and starts walking off in the same direction machi and arthor went.)
