As a certified gemmologist, I let my professional knowledge flow straight into the story and combine it, through Earth Magic, with the esoteric properties of the stones. You'll learn a thing or two about gemstones along the way.

The Chattenberg Saga is as unique as a crystal.
You find it and look closer. Then you delve deeper: healed fractures running through the stone like veils, small cavities, needles, other minerals caught inside as inclusions. Suddenly, you are in another world you never expected.
 

• Fantasy: Mage academy fantasy romance and adult fantasy with a magic system you can follow. People are born with elemental magic and a unique specialisation, then trained at the academy to battle the elements.
  
• Romance: A slow burn romantasy with two green flag love interests and no jealousy between them. Consensual fantasy romance throughout — among mages, further partners alongside the main relationship are socially normal.
  
• Spice: In Volume 1 spice is sensual rather than explicit. Nothing is spelled out, and it still leaves you breathless. The heat rises across the five-book series, and later volumes turn things up considerably.
  
• Historical: Set in 1790 on our Earth, with archaic turns of phrase throughout. Historical events are mentioned but are not central to the plot.
  
• Creative work: The Chattenberg Saga, from first idea to finished book and cover, was created without GenAI.

  In Volume 1, “The Crystal Spotter”, Glandera discovers her talent and is gently introduced to the world of the mage academy.
In Volume 2, “The Crystal Acolyte”, she finds her place at the academy and at Ferron's side. She uncovers the secrets of her origins and has her first experiences of love. In Volume 3, “The Crystal Mage”, Glandera's own powers are put to the test. Spice turns up the heat.
